NEW STAR AT KAREFREE

SARALEE --  Karefree Topspot Frozen Delight - made her showing debut at the tender age of 6 months, 1 week, handled by co-breeder Darlene Hinkle...and won her first point at her first show!

ANOTHER CHAMPION FOR HUMMER - #23

Sebastian is now CH. Topspot Karefree Catch the Wave....and is #23 champion get for daddy Hummer (Ch. Topspot Karefree High Voltage).

New litter at Karefree:  11 puppies (6 girls/5 boys) all black spotted, were born July 1st.  Momma is Holly - AKC/UKC CH Karefree Coming 'Round Again and sire is River  - AKC/UKC Pokatalica Dill Valley River Run.

WINNING BOYS!

Two of the "new boys" are doing some nice winning:

Sebastian --  Topspot Karefree Catch the Wave -- was WD at the Non Sporting Group show in Edison, and now has 10 points with one major

And the newest of all -- Jay --  earned his first point at the Wilmington KC.

There are three babies from Kirra/Chaucer litter which are to be shown.

NEW TITLE FOR KIRRA

Ms Kirra is now CH KAREFREE TOPSPOT TIDAL WAVE, RN, BN.... she earned her Beginner Novice obedience title with scores of 190-1/2, 189-1/2 and 196....
she will be bred to Chaucer (Ch. Karefree's Canterbury Tail CD) as soon as she comes in heat.  This will be a surgical transplant of frozen semen (a first for me) and we are looking forward to a really wonderful litter with this combination. Stayed tuned for updates on this procedure...probably late Dec. or early Jan.

RAINA EARNS BOTH HER CGC AND TDI TITLES

Raina and Cindy at the GWDC CGC testing....Raina passed both CGC and the TDI testing!   Good job girls!!!!!

NEW TITLES!!!!

 BRANDY -- is now Ch. Karefree's Couviersier RN, BN, CGC....she just earned her Beginner Novice degree (BN)....Brandy will be 10 years old in Sept.

HOLLY -- is now Ch. Karefree's Coming Round Again....finishing her Championship with a 4-point major at Rock Creek Kennel Club on July 1st.

SOME UPDATES!

ABOVE, we see Hummer and two of his 6-month old kids at the Greater New York Dalmatian Club show where he won the Stud Dog class. Kids are Sebastian (Topspot Karefree Catch the Wave) and Sunset (Karefree Topspot Tropical Heat Wave). Mom of the pups is Kirra - CH Karefree Topspot Tidal Wave, RN

Here, we have Holly (Karefree's Coming Round Again) shown winning a 3-point major at the Baltimore Co. Kennel Club show on April 22nd. Holly now has 11 points (with one major) towards her championship. Holly is also a Hummer daughter.

There is another Hummer litter on the ground out of "Gracie" CH Karefree's Blanc de Noir. The pups were born on April 2nd.  (check out their blog: http://gracielitter.blogspot.com/)  He has also been bred to Amber - CH Topspot Amber Gold - with puppies due around May 27th. Amber is litter sister to Kirra, the dam of the puppies shown in the first picture.



HERSHEY & RAINA AT BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS

Cindy's church, in Richmond, VA, has annual blessing of the animals, and she took Hershey and Raina...picture below shows the three of them with Father Lee....at the statue of St. Francis (patron saint of animals). What a wonderful tradition this is.

NEW PUPPY IS NOW SHOWING

HOLLY - KAREFREE'S COMING ROUND AGAIN.... is now ready for showing. She made her UKC debut this past weekend and is now half way to her UKC championship. (For UKC championship, you need a total of 100 points, and you must have three shows where you beat competition). At her first show, she earned 25 points and also beat two other Dalmatians, both of whom are already AKC champions and are adults; and she was group 1 that same day. The nxt day, shown by co-owner Amy, she was also best Dalmatian for another 25 points and again was group 1 over competition. Hope to do more shows for UKC in October.

AKC BREEDER OF MERIT PROGRAM

BOTH NANCY (KAREFREE) AND DARLENE (TOPSPOT) HAVE RECEIVED THE NEW AKC DESIGNATION: BREEDER OF MERIT!

To qualiry for this designation, the breeder must have longevity, have been the breeder of record of multiple titled animals (performance or conformation, or a combination of the two) and belong to various organizations and also do the necessary health screenings of breeding animals.

ANOTHER NEW CHAMPION !!!!!

A NEW CHAMPION! "AMBER" IS NOW CH. TOPSPOT AMBER GOLD....Amber was shown throughout by her owner, Susan Funk....and travelled to Ohio to pick up those elusive major wins! WAY TO GO AMBER AND SUSAN.

Amber is the fourth of her litter to finish a championship. She joins Emmie, Kirra and Jack.

Proud parents are "Ricky" (Ch. Topspot Turn of the Tide and "Elektra" (Ch. Karefree Topspot Elektric Slide). co breeder is Darlene Hinkle, Topspot Dalmatians.

"JETTA" IS NOW CH. TRAMAC CALL ME KAREFREE 'N CARDEL RN --- SHE EARNED HER RALLY NOVICE TITLE IN THREE CONSECUTIVE SHOWS WITH SCORES OF 92, 93 AND 93 ......GOOD GIRL JETTA!

ANOTHER CHAMPION FOR KAREFREE!!

"Kirra" IS NOW CH KAREFREE TOPSPOT TIDAL WAVE.....she is the third of her litter to finish and the sixth champion for her father Ricky. She completed her championship on Saturday at the Penn Ridge kennel club going Winners Bitch and Best of Winners....

"Gala" wins Total Dog Award at the UKC Premier show held on July 10th!
Of the 126 dogs entered in this compeition, only 49 received the award....and Gala was one of two Dalmatians to earn the title. The dog must place in the conformation portion....Gala won Reserve Champion...and also quality in a performance event where she earned 99 points out of a possible 100 in her Rally 01 competition.

NEW LITTER EXPECTED

GIGI (BIS CH KAREFREE GIOVANNA AT MILLEDALS) HAS BEEN BRED TO RICKY (CH TOPSPOT TURN OF THE TIDE). PUPPIES DUE MID SEPTEMBER.

BRANDY IS RESTING AFTER EARNING THE FIRST LEG TOWARD HER RALLY NOVICE TITLE...SHE EARNED 98 POINTS OUT A POSSIBLE 100 AND A 2ND PLACE IN THE CLASS.

MONTY" - HER LITTER BROTHER...IS MAKING A NAME FOR HIMSELF AS A SPECIAL. HE WAS BEST OF BREED AT TWO VERY PRESTIGIOUS SHOWS THIS PAST WEEKEND...THE NONSPORTING GROUP OF NEW JERSEY AND THE SPECIALTY SHOW OF THE CENTRAL NEW JERSEY DALMATIAN CLUB.....

NOT TO BE OUTDONE, "KIRRA", THEIR HALF SISTER, WAS WB FOUR DAYS AT THE YORK CLUSTER AND NOW JUST NEEDS THREE SINGLE POINTS TO COMPLETE HER CHAMPIONSHIP ALSO.

AND THE NEWEST BABY, AT JUST 7 MONTHS, "BRISTOL" (WHOSE DADDY IS MONTY) EARNED HIS FIRST POINTS AT THE YORK CLUSTER ALSO.
